A RICH HERITAGE FROM THE HERRMANN'S

ROYAL LIPIZZANER STALLIONS

Beginning in the early nineteen seventies, the Herrmann Family, having emigrated to the United States from Austria, dedicated themselves to preserving the world of classical dressage. Wishing to share  the teachings of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna and the renowned trainer, Alois Podhajsky, the Herrmann Family created a performance that illustrated maneuvers in classical training.

From the very first steps a young horse would take in the schooling ring, the training under the long lines, to the precision and discipline of the piaffe and passage, the Herrmann Family displayed all apsects of classical dressage.

The family also brought the Airs Above the Ground, the traditional war maneuvers for which the Lipizzaners were bred, to the United States. The Airs Above the Ground, often thought to be the pinnacle of classical training, showcase the power and the spirit of the Lipizzaner stallion.

Celtic Guardian and Favory Sophia are direct descendants from the horses originally imported by the Herrmann Family. The Herrmann Family traditionally only purchased enough mares for replenishing their own stock. They did not breed to any outside horses, therefore ensuring the purity of their Lipizzaner bloodlines.
